T
hey have to try justify their jobs by breaking shit so that they can then fix it. I know a guy who was a Systems Engineer at Gawker before Hulk went all Hulka
mania on them and pretty much all the devs were a bunch of window lickers.

Can your mod powers allow you to do anything about it?

I believe they are subscribing to the notion of Kaizen.
Kaizen is an approach to creating continuous improvement based on the idea that small, ongoing positive changes can reap major improvements. Typically, it is based on cooperation and commitment and stands in contrast to approaches that use radical changes or top-down edicts to achieve transformation.
Unfortunately, they aren’t very good at it.
This post is a good example. Clicking on the text from Oppo doesn’t work. I had to click on your username, then click on the link from your page.

Not really, unless changing everything to dicks counts as “do anything about it”

Used to it was something like ca.oppositelock.jalopnik.com We used it when 5.no was rolled out and the Canadian site was still on version 4, which was a lot less buggy.
